For F. Nana Ofosu-Amaah, photography became a path to having a heightened sense of noticing the details of the world and a road to expression.
“Through the creation of art, one speeds up or one comes to a crawl or one embodies both at the same time. The art of nature and the man-made invokes emotion - elation or despair or nothingness. Nature is magnificent and so can the man-made; they must be captured as they are. They must be represented as their imagery, texture, sound, taste, movement, and scent call the artist to perceive them in order to express them. Art captures nature and the man-made no matter the medium. We go about our daily lives without noticing the details of the beauty of the world around us. The art of the beauty of nature and the man-made must be attended to and celebrated; I aim to share this beauty with all through art in the hopes that one day, all may stop, look and smile (or be in awe) at what is in front of them, even if for a second, no matter their circumstance. Nature - humans included - speak volumes in their magnificent silence.”
